I really hate the maths element of knitting. I consider myself to be pretty quick of thought generally but not with maths, I just can't keep my mind focussed on it, I am halfway through an equation and I forget what it is I am getting at, what was that number again and how the hell does it relate to what I need to know? Maths sucks and is not vastly improved by 5hrs of sleep witht he light on. Doh!

I have a jumper and I get more stitches to the inch than I should, maths can save me, if only I can work out what the implications are, but I am not good enough at knitting to facilitate the maths and not good enough at the maths to facilitate the knitting.

Is it time for bed yet?

The maths is too difficult - take it from me as someone that did maths in Higher Education and does maths for a living. Buy yourself a larger set of needles :)

I have, I am praying that works out ok. The maths seems to involve basically rewritting the pattern and it's too much for me, I don't think I understand the mechanics of knitting enough to adjust things.

I can't do it either - too many dimensions to adjust in.
