I love the difference in reactions between men and women. Post a picture of a pretty girl and women will praise her beauty, but a photo of an attractive man shown to other men rearely ever gets nice comments. Basic gender differences there I think. :o)

Unless some men want to prove me wrong by saying which famous male they think is lovely looking?

Sly, he's a bit of a stud muffin ;-) hahah
And as the Aussies would say, Columbo is a "bit of a spunk"!!! (Very strange use of words if you ask me).

Heh! So true!

Glen will admit that he "sees what you see" about my big 3 crushes (Jonny R-M, Jonny Depp and Noel Fielding from the Mighty Boosh - can't think of that many men I fancy other than those though!) but still goes weird when I go all girly in Jonny Depp films ;p

Men are odd when it comes to that though, the other weekend I was chatting to a female friend about Dr Who, and how David Tennant is very yummy, and her boyfriend who was there got really stroppy. Then I decided to play a game and mentioned how much I'm looking forward to Kylie in the Christmas special...and he was quite happy to join in the "she's so pretty" discussion. It seems to be something that happens quite a lot...

My hubby is remarkably tolerant of my roving eye, probably because he knows its only my eyes that rove. He is as tolerant of my admiration of some men we actually know as of my admiration of certain actors.

Its always Johnny Depp though isnt it? I dont think I know many women who dont like him.

My lovely husband has two years on the trot bought be a Johnny Depp calendar.

He also downloaded the lovely piccy of Nathan Fillion on the desktop of our joint computer. I'm a lucky girl to have such a tolerant husband.

Depends what you mean by lovely looking? Good looking blokes? George Clooney, Jason Isaacs, Gary Sinise.

Fanciable though? Not from me...

Ah, Jason Isaacs. Yes, very nice too.

Hey, I said nothing about the photo, just about Henry VIII in general :)

Women tend to be snidey about photo's too - I've had the "It's been photo shopped" and "She's had work done" just as often from them!

Well I don't think 'she's had work done' is snide, prob quite accurate for most hollywood starlets.

So who do you think is the most hansome man then?

Most attractive woman in my book is Angelina.

Me, obviously.

In celebrity? Errr. George Clooney? I really don't know! Zodiac Mindwarp et al circa 1988?

Angelina has got veeeery thin recently :/

Yes bit too thin, but she was fab as lara croft in the first one.

George Clooney is a bit old and meh, imo.

Yarp, with some meat on her she's cracking :)

TBH I really don't know on men - it's not something that really gets much air time in my head!

So many actresses could be described in a similar way, as needing some more meat on them. It really isnt healthy or attractive to be so very thin.

Look at Janine Girafollo (sp?). She was georgeous. Then she lost weight. Same for Kate Winslett, so very pretty when she was normal size.

Beyonce Knowles (sp?!), she could suffocate a man with those thights.....;-)

besides, I think you'll find she's a woman, not a man.

It wouldn`t surprise me if men get all moody when women talk about how handsome a man is, is because women that want to make their man happy normally say things like "I love you" to her partner, but not often "You are so handsome" or similar, yet men frequently mention how beautiful their partner is - causing resentment when women DO talk about the looks of another man.

At least, thats how it`s been in my experience

Or it could be that men do the macho "no man can be good looking except me" thing.

Anyway, I think that Vigo Mortensen has the looks, as of course does Johnny Depp (every girls favourite)..lucky buggers :D

tsk applying reasoned thinking. Very Dangerous.
I'd lob in the consideration that lads (well straight ones) male role models tend to be purely on the basis of wanting to have their abilities rather than wanting to look like them. Beckhams male fans tend to appreciate his football skills more than his taste in women and grooming products.
Unobtainability is not seen as a desireable characteristic by men in general
