How do you define desirable in a world where there are women who send love letters to convicted serial killers?

True...although that probably doesn't reflect well on me either if even serial killers get Valentines cards before me!

Twisted logic.
Consider those folks who have a string of failed relationships where the only thing the exes have in common are undesirable characteristics.
Desirable can only be defined in terms of what you find desirable in others. Having an opinion on ones own desirability can only be considered a variant of narcissism (positive or negative) since it cannot be applied to anyone elses opinion of you and it's not possible to define a standard for desirability except in terms of oversimplistic generalizations of what other folks think based on images in the media.
Accepting the medias image of desirability would be the equivalent of accepting the art establishments definition of art and assuming everyone has Tracey Emin prints on their wall (Which I guess beats having a Bobby Sands original on your wall but only just).
Anyway nothing like people complaining about being fat and ugly to remind other people they are single which is not a matter of opinion.

I'm a woman, it's our speciality!

What you are saying can be summed up as 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'

The icon is a Harry Potter poster, 'wanted by the ministry of magic' rather than self depreciation by the way.

My original interpretation was a toss up between unattractive or public enemy number 1. Which is to say er indeterminate, needs clarification as the former could be for feeling down posts and the latter for on the warpath at work posts.
